This week was... a week, that's for sure. I ran four times this week all over 3 miles but my times were slow. My fastest mile was 9 minutes and 43 seconds which was very disappointing. This made me really discouraged and I just felt like quitting. I was really reluctant to write this post and make it public because I was scared to be judged by whoever may see this post. I explained to my mom how I felt and while she understood how I felt, yet she pushed me harder to get back out and run. So I did, with her. This week made me realize that it doesn't matter what other people think and if someone's not going to support you on your journey to get somewhere, they don't deserve you when you make it.

Progress is progress, no matter how small. One thing I like to remind people of, especially as it regards exercise, is that by simply doing something, you are already ahead of most people. As a wise man once said, "the hardest race to win is the one from the couch to the door." You made it out and you ran, and that's something.
